Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) is in talks to replace Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse) in upcoming “Hummingbird” according to Variety. The upcoming Action film is based on the Black List script from John McClain (no, not him) and was originally set to feature Zoe Saldana who has to drop out due to her commitments to the upcoming Avatar films. The film is being helmed by Swedish directing duo Markus Kyler and Fredrik Akerstorm who were responsible for the cinematics of Battlefield 1 from EA. Producers have said “Hummingbird” will be “be in the vein of Lucy and the Jason Bourne film franchise” and that Paul W.S. Anderson is currently onboard revising some of the script.
Hummingbird tells the story of a black-ops assassin who is forced to confront her true identity while attempting to take down her latest mark.
